Technologists for the Public Good (TPG) is a 501(c)(6) non-profit association dedicated to reimagining how the government serves the public through technology, data, and design. We provide tools, resources, and a community that fosters collaboration across sectors, united by the goal of improving government services for the public.
This Privacy Policy outlines how TPG collects, uses, and manages the information of individuals participating in our community (collectively referred to as the "TPG Network"). This includes:
TPG Members: Individuals with a paid membership of TPG.
TPG Network Participants: Includes TPG Members, visitors to our website, mailing list subscribers, and participants in our programs, events, or communities.
By visiting our website, signing up for our services, or engaging with us, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.

3. Information Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell personally identifiable information. However, we may share information with third-party service providers (examples include Circle.so and NeonOne) to facilitate services such as events, communications, and payment processing. Additionally, co-host or partner organizations may receive necessary participant information for events.
All shared or published data will be aggregated and anonymized so no Personally Identifiable Information will be publicly available.
4. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide services or fulfill legal obligations. If you unsubscribe from communications, cancel membership, or request data deletion, we will generally comply, except in cases where legal or operational reasons require us to retain the data.

Cancel Membership: Email us at community@publicgood.tech to cancel your membership or request data deletion.
Leave Online Forums: Manage your TPG account settings on our community platform, provided by Circle.so, at community.publicgood.tech, or contact us for assistance.
Unsubscribe from Mailing Lists: Use the "Unsubscribe" link in email footers, update your TPG account settings at community.publicgood.tech, or contact us directly.
6. Security and Safety
We prioritize the safety and security of our community. While we follow best and all legal practices to protect your data, we encourage you to use strong passwords, enable two-factor authentication where available, and exercise caution when sharing personal information in public forums.

Our website and online communities may contain links to third-party content. TPG does not endorse nor guarantee the safety of third-party content shared within our network.
8. California Consumer Privacy Rights
In compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have additional rights regarding their personal information, including the right to know, delete, and correct data. We do not sell personal information.

11. Children’s Privacy Rights
TPG is intended for users ages 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16. If we become aware that personal information (or other information that is protected under applicable law) from a child under 16 has been collected, we will use all reasonable efforts to delete such information from our databases.
